Swedish masters of melancholic heaviness Katatonia have confirmed their 'Waking State Of Europe' tour, scheduled to begin in March 2027. The trek serves as a platform to showcase the dark riffs and delicate atmospheric nuances found on their latest offering, 'Nightmares As Extensions Of The Waking State'.

The tour kicks off in Hanover, Germany, on 31 March, before traversing central Europe and concluding in the band's home territory of Sweden on 17 April. Canadian post-punk outfit Bonnie Trash will join the five-piece as a primary support, with a second special guest yet to be revealed.

Even after more than 30 years, Katatonia continues to redefine the emotional spectrum of their genre.

'Nightmares As Extensions Of The Waking State' highlights the interplay between silence and intensity, featuring tracks like 'Thrice' and 'Warden'. The album, produced by Jonas Renkse and recorded by Lawrence Mackrory, showcases the band's ability to balance haunting vulnerability with commanding artistry.

Fans can secure tickets during a presale starting tomorrow, Thursday, 5 November, at 11 a.m. CET. The general sale will follow on Friday, 6 November, at the same time. The tour will see the band hit dates across Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, and Hungary before the final show in Lund.
