Swedish extreme metal pioneers MESHUGGAH have announced "The Forty-Year Anomaly", a massive European headline tour scheduled for 2027 to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The tour will span 20 dates across the continent, culminating in a performance at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. Joining the technical heavyweights on the bill are special guests PERIPHERY and VILDHJARTA.

Since their inception in Umeå in 1987, the quintet has redefined the vocabulary of heavy music. By blending polymetric riffs, extreme technical complexity, and crushing physicality, they have moved beyond traditional thrash to create a distinct sonic identity. Their evolution has been marked by milestones such as the Grammy-nominated "Clockworks" and their 2022 release "Immutable", which reached the top of the charts in the UK, Germany, Canada, and Sweden.

The boundary pushing icons will reach their 40th anniversary in 2027; an occasion that calls for commemoration.

The 2027 tour serves as a celebration of four decades of innovation and defiance. The journey kicks off in Copenhagen on 29 September, moving through key dates in cities including Berlin, Prague, and Madrid, before heading to the UK on 29 October for a Manchester stop and the final London show on 30 October. For a band that has spent forty years perfecting a unique musical language, this serves as a definitive statement of their enduring relevance in the heavy music scene.
