Prong Deploy 'New Commission' Ahead of Self-Titled LP
New York metal heavyweights PRONG have issued a machine-gun assault with the new single 'New Commission' from their upcoming self-titled album.
New York alternative metal veterans PRONG have delivered the latest ammunition from their upcoming self-titled full-length, titled "New Commission". Set to land on November 6 via Napalm Records, the track is a heavy-hitting slab of thrash defined by machine-gun kicks, discordant riffs, and the signature venomous barks of frontman Tommy Victor.
Victor describes the new single as a "barn burner" boasting a massive hook and a ferocious breakdown. The track serves as a showcase for the band's enduring signature: a grit-infused fusion of New York hardcore, industrial textures, and infectious grooves.
This could be the best PRONG album to date. It's definitely the best-sounding PRONG album ever.
Speaking on the upcoming LP, Victor noted the record marks a "redefining episode" for the band, bolstered by Andy Sneap's expert mixing and mastering. The self-titled collection is designed to showcase a faster, heavier attitude, reclaiming the band's territory as the primary standard-bearers of the genre.
The full album will pack 11 primary tracks plus two bonus features, including "The Banner" and the industrial-edged "The Uprising". From "Fear The Sun" to the methodical, synth-swelled "Our Continuance", the record aims to solidify their legacy while pushing the boundaries of their long-established sound.
