Enslaved Reveal 'Tales Of Trees' and European Tour with Sólstafir

Progressive black metal pioneers ENSLAVED have unveiled a new single titled "Tales Of Trees" to bolster the anticipation for their upcoming album, "Mið". Scheduled for release on 30 October via Nuclear Blast Records, the track serves as a sonic exploration of the natural world as a mirror for the human condition.

Vocals and bass duties are handled by Grutle Kjellson, who explains that the song explores trees as more than mere botanical figures. "Trees can grow, shine, and flourish, but they can also wither and burn. They need to be tended to and looked after... and thus serve as a fitting parallel to the human mind," Kjellson noted. Guitarist Ivar Bjørnson echoed this sentiment, noting that the track blends the winding time signatures of folk with the adventurous spirit of classic progressive music to explore the mystery of our kinship with the natural world.

Trees serve as a fitting parallel to the human mind, let alone humanity as a whole.

To celebrate the release, the Norwegian vanguard have signed on for a co-headlining European tour in February 2027. They will be joined by Iceland's SÓLSTAFIR and supported by Norway's GAAHLS WYRD. The tour will hit major dates across Germany, France, Spain, and the UK, including a stop at London's Electric Ballroom on 17 February. Tickets for the trek are slated to go on sale on 25 September at 9 a.m. BST.
