Sabaton Reveal Deluxe Edition of 'Legends' Alongside New 'Berserker' Lyric Video

Swedish heavy metal outfit SABATON have confirmed a revamped deluxe edition of their eleventh studio album, "Legends", scheduled for release on March 5, 2027, via Better Noise Music. The expanded collection will be available across various formats, including a special box set and multiple vinyl editions, including exclusive versions for 'Berserker' and 'Stephen The Great'.

To build hype for the 2027 release, the band has issued a new single and lyric video for "Berserker". The track draws heavily on the band's Scandinavian roots and historical lineage. While the song began development several years ago, the group waited for the precise moment to release it. Featuring "cloud-shaking" guitars and soaring vocals, the track serves as a heavy metal retelling of Viking lore.

The track 'Berserker' breathes Scandinavian influences, so the Viking theme came naturally.

In addition to the music, a cinematic animated video featuring actor Eric Roberts premiered on November 9. The visual depicts the legend of the Berserker at Stamford Bridge, blending present reality with historical memory.

Bassist Pär Sundström noted that the Viking themes in "Berserker" felt natural due to their proximity to the band's own history. The announcement comes as SABATON kicks off their first US tour in four years, joined on stage by POP EVIL and WINGS OF STEEL.
