The Pineapple Thief Set New Studio Album 'Far And Wide' for October 2026

The Pineapple Thief are set to unleash their latest studio offering, "Far And Wide", on October 9, 2026. Released via InsideOut Music, the record marks a period of evolution for the progressive art-rockers who claim to feel more like a traditional rock band than ever before while maintaining their signature atmospheric edge.

Accompanying the announcement is the debut of "New World Order", a hard-hitting single featuring a striking visual from long-time collaborator George Laycock at Black Tide Productions. The track serves as a gateway into an album described by frontman Bruce Soord as a collection of incisive songs born from intentional creative constraints. Rather than overcomplicating arrangements with excessive guitar layers or harmonies, the band focused on what works for a five-piece unit on stage.

We deliberately created those constraints, because we thought, 'we're a rock band... this is what we should be about in the studio.'

"You do start to imagine what a song would look like on a stage... you can picture it with the lights and the atmosphere," drummer Gavin Harrison notes regarding the influence of live performance on the studio arrangements. The tracklist explores themes of societal turmoil, moral courage, and personal loss, building upon the foundations laid in 2024's "It Leads To This".

Fans can expect a variety of formats, including a limited 2CD and Blu-ray artbook featuring the bonus track "Daylight", gatefold LPs in various colours, and digital versions in both stereo and Dolby Atmos. The artwork features an abstract sculpture by the late Michael Schoenholtz.
