Speaking on the Cobras & Fire podcast, Rockett addressed the period of inactivity following their 2022 "The Stadium Tour" stint, noting that the reality of the situation is simply that Michaels chose to focus on his solo project, the Bret Michaels Band, to capitalise on the group's momentum.

Rockett's blunt assessment stands in contrast to Michaels' recent comments on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk," where the singer expressed a strong belief that 2027 would be an "awesome" reunion year. While reports have swirled regarding a collapsed 2026 tour—purportedly due to a dispute over pay distribution—Michaels clarified that such negotiations never reached that stage, claiming the 2026 dates were simply pushed back to accommodate solo commitments.
