MISS MAY I Drop Visual for 'Highbrow Thieves'

MISS MAY I have officially unveiled the music video for "Highbrow Thieves", the latest offering from their forthcoming album, *No Place For Me*. Scheduled for release on 2 October via Solid State Records, the track explores the concept of stolen personal resources rather than physical theft. Vocalist Levi Benton explains that the song captures the perspective of a worker being exploited by those with no remorse, ultimately stealing the most precious commodity of all: time.

Bentont describes the creation of *No Place For Me* as a deeply cathartic journey. "It's everything I've felt for a long time but never had the words for," he explains, noting that the process helped define his identity even when the truth was difficult to face. The album, which follows 2022's *Curse of Existence*, represents a significant turning point for the band, particularly following the departure of original guitarists B.J. Stead and Justin Aufdemkampe.

The 'thieves' here aren't after riches or objects — what they're really stealing is something far more valuable: Time.

Joining the ranks as a four-piece, the band welcomed Elisha Mullins. The transition saw the group lean into atmospheric soundscapes to compensate for the lost rhythm guitar, a shift that Benton notes is clearly audible in tracks like "Pray For Silence". Despite the personnel shifts, the band remains anchored by the consistent presence of guitarist Nick Sampson, who has served as a technical guide for the band since their second album.
