Metal Church Drop Visual for 'Dead To Rights' Title Track
Metal Church have unleashed a new music video capturing their high-octane performance in Belgium.
West Coast stalwarts Metal Church have unveiled a new music video for the title track of their thirteenth studio album, 'Dead To Rights'. Released in April via Rat Pak Records, the new visual captures the band's blistering performance at the Alcatraz festival in Kortrijk, Belgium, this past August. The footage showcases the full power of the current touring unit in front of one of Europe's most fervent metal crowds.
"There's no faking it on a festival stage. You walk out, the crowd hits you like a wall, and you either rise to it or you don't," drummer Ken Mary explains. "Alcatraz was one of those days where everything clicked, and we wanted fans to feel exactly what we felt up there. 'Dead To Rights' is built to be played loud and live, and this video proves it."
This lineup is at its best in front of an audience... heavy, hungry and having the time of our lives.
Founding guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof echoes this sentiment, noting that the track was destined for the stage from its inception. "When we wrote 'Dead To Rights', I knew it was going to be a live song and seeing a field full of headbanging fans in Belgium shout it back at us confirmed it. This lineup is at its best in front of an audience... it's a snapshot of where Metal Church is right now: heavy, hungry and having the time of our lives."
The current roster features Vanderhoof alongside Rick Van Zandt, David Ellefson (Megadeth), Mary, and new vocalist Brian Allen (Vicious Rumours). The unit recently joined the "Metal Saint Tour" alongside Armored Saint, a co-headlining run across the US and Canada starting on November 2.
