Kai Hansen Unleashes 'Welcome To Life' Ahead of New Solo Album
HELLOWEEN co-founder Kai Hansen drops the second single from his upcoming solo effort, Born With A Hammer.
Kai Hansen has unleashed "Welcome To Life", the second single from his forthcoming solo album, "Born With A Hammer". Following the heavy impact of "Feeding The Beast", this new offering showcases the versatility of the man who helped define European power metal as a co-founder of HELLOWEEN and founder of GAMMA RAY.
"Welcome To Life" serves as a showcase for Hansen's diverse musical identity, blending heavy metal, punk, and rock and roll. The track features driving guitars, striking tempo shifts, and strong melodies, establishing the eclectic tone of the upcoming record early on. Lyrically, the song explores the theme of accepting life as it is, delivered with Hansen's signature guitar work and a sense of spontaneous energy.
Hansen combines this outlook with his unmistakable guitar playing, an infectious sense of spontaneity and the spirit of a road trip through life.
The official lyric video complements these themes with imagery of a Mustang racing through a hell-tinged world. Produced by Eike Freese, "Born With A Hammer" features a formidable lineup including Alexander Dietz (HEAVEN SHALL BURN), Dan Wilding (CARCASS), and Tim Hansen (INDUCTION).
Following the global success of HELLOWEEN's recent reunion era, this solo project marks a fresh chapter for Hansen. The full album will consist of 10 tracks, including "Don't Care", "Wait And See", and "End Of The Road", all crafted with an uncompromising attitude toward heavy music.
