New NEVERMORE Lineup Kicks Off European Tour at Bulgaria’s Hills Of Rock Festival

NEVERMORE’s new lineup launched their summer 2026 European tour with a performance at the Hills Of Rock festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on July 26. Fan-filmed video of the concert is available online.

The setlist for the show included “Beyond Within,” “Inside Four Walls,” “My Acid Words,” and more.

It's been brewing for quite a while and has just started to manifest itself into the now.

The current lineup features Jeff Loomis and Van Williams alongside guitarists Jack Cattoi and Semir Özerkan, and vocalist Berzan Önen.

NEVERMORE originally forged a sound defined by precision musicianship and emotional intensity, releasing landmark albums such as “Dead Heart In A Dead World” and “This Godless Endeavor.” The band disbanded in 2011 due to differences between Jeff Loomis and Van Williams and Warrel Dane and Jim Sheppard.

“It's been brewing for quite a while and has just started to manifest itself into the now,” said Van Williams regarding the band’s return. He described the new music as “delicious” and “gonna leave you hungry for more.”

Jeff Loomis stated about Berzan Önen: "He really stood out strong in so many ways upon a first listen... I was really blown away at first watch."

The band’s return follows Jeff Loomis's amicable departure from ARCH ENEMY in December 2023. The guitarist, who served as the main songwriter for NEVERMORE, had been with ARCH ENEMY since late 2014.

The new lineup of NEVERMORE made its live debut on April 1 at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş in Istanbul, Turkey.

Forged in the aftermath of SANCTUARY, NEVERMORE carved out a sound defined by precision musicianship, fearless songwriting, and emotional intensity. From their self-titled debut in 1995 through landmark releases such as "Dead Heart In A Dead World" and "This Godless Endeavor", NEVERMORE built a global following.

Following the band's disbandment, Jeff released solo albums “Zero Order Phase” and “Plains Of Oblivion”, co-founded CONQUERING DYSTOPIA and spent nearly a decade with ARCH ENEMY. Van remained active through projects such as ASHES OF ARES and GHOST SHIP OCTAVIUS. Warrel Dane continued creating until his passing in 2017.
