Swedish Rockers Thundermother Announce 'Mothers Of Thunder' LP

Swedish rockers THUNDERMOTHER have officially announced the title of their upcoming studio album, 'Mothers Of Thunder', set for a February 2027 release. The news broke during an interview with The Adventures Of Pipeman at Wacken Open Air, where guitarist Filippa Nässil and vocalist Linnéa Vikström Egg confirmed the band's roadmap.

The journey toward the new LP begins in September 2026 with the release of the lead single, "Bimbo Boost". Explaining the lyrical layers behind the track, Vikström Egg joked about her status as a blonde Swedish girl who spent plenty on her hair. Nässil added a technical twist to the title, noting that guitarists often use a 'boost' button for solos, imagining a pedal that applies makeup instead.

Following the success of their sixth album, "Dirty & Divine"—which climbed to number two on the German rock/metal charts in 2025—the band has stayed busy. This new chapter follows the departure of former members who formed THE GEMS in early 2023. The current powerhouse lineup, featuring Nässil, Vikström Egg, bassist Majsan Lindberg, and drummer Joan Massing, also recently delivered their first live album, "Live'N'Alive", via Napalm Records.
