Thundermother Tap into New Era with Napalm Records Debut

Swedish hard rock heavyweights THUNDERMOTHER have announced their Napalm Records studio debut, "Mothers Of Thunder", set for release on 5 February 2027. The quartet marks their seventh album with a high-octane collection of dirty riffs and commanding vocals, aiming to cement their status as true rock goddesses.

Accompanying the announcement is the debut single, "Bimbo Boost". The track serves as a pointed critique of the aesthetic standards imposed on female performers. By playing a riff inspired by Deep Purple's "Smoke On The Water" in reverse, the band tackles the exhaustion of maintaining a "perfect" image. The band noted: "It's damn hard being a woman. We have to do our makeup, straighten our hair, reverse aging, and always look our best. It's exhausting."

The songwriting, the playing, and the lyrical themes have reached the next level.

"Mothers Of Thunder" features a diverse range of anthems, including "Restless"—a father-daughter duet between Linnéa Vikström Egg and Thomas Vikström of Therion—and the blues-infused "The Wet Blues". Other highlights include the swashbuckling "Stalker" and the high-energy "Front Row Bangers". The band insists this record represents their peak: "The songwriting, the playing, and the lyrical themes have reached the next level, and we can't wait to share 'Mothers of Thunder' with the world!"

With a reputation built on prestigious stages like Wacken Open Air and sharing the bill with Scorpions, the Swedish four-piece are clearly ready for their next chapter.
