Slipknot have completed a catalogue agreement with HarbourView Equity Partners reportedly valued at approximately $120 million. The deal covers members’ royalty interests in the band’s existing publishing and recording masters, while future releases remain outside the arrangement.

Percussionist and co-founder M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan described HarbourView as a partner prepared to expand the work Slipknot have built over more than 25 years. HarbourView founder Sherrese Clarke said the company views the catalogue as both a major heavy metal asset and a broader cultural property with sustained engagement across several generations.

The agreement covers archival publishing and master royalties but excludes the band’s future releases.

The precise participation of each Slipknot member has not been disclosed. The band retain ownership of their publishing, while the master recordings themselves are controlled by Warner Music Group following its acquisition of Roadrunner Records. The transaction concerns royalty streams attached to that material rather than a transfer of every underlying right.

Industry estimates cited before the agreement suggested Slipknot’s recordings had generated roughly $15.5 million annually over the previous three years, with publishing producing another $5.2 million. Since their 1999 debut, the Iowa band have accumulated global platinum certifications, billions of streams and six Billboard 200 Top 10 albums. Their latest full-length release, 2022’s “The End, So Far”, reached number two in the United States and topped charts in several international markets.
