Pro-Shot Footage Surfaces of Deicide at Leyendas Del Rock

High-quality professional footage has surfaced of Deicide's heavy-hitting performance at the Leyendas Del Rock festival. Filmed on 8 August 2026 at the Polideportivo Municipal de Villena in Villena, Alicante, Spain, the footage captures the masters of death metal tearing through a set that included "Scars Of The Crucifix", "Dead By Dawn", and "Homage For Satan".

This appearance serves as a milestone for the touring lineup, featuring Jadran "Conan" Gonzalez on guitar. Gonzalez, formerly of EXMORTUS, made his debut with the band in September 2025 during the opening show of their Latin American tour alongside Behemoth in Curitiba, Brazil. He joined the fold following the departure of longtime guitarist Kevin Quirion.

The Dean of Death Metal remains a formidable force on the live stage.

Quirion's exit in April 2025 followed a 15-year tenure with the group. He cited a desire to spend more time with his family and step away from the rigours of touring as his primary motivations. While he will no longer perform with Deicide, he is continuing his songwriting efforts under the moniker Council of the Fallen.

Quirion was a staple of the Deicide sound for over a decade, appearing on the last three studio offerings, including the 2024 release "Banished By Sin" via Reigning Phoenix Music. Gonzalez, however, has expressed his honour at joining a lineup featuring veterans like Glen Benton and Steve Asheim, ensuring the band's sonic legacy remains intact.
