HOT SHÖT Prepare to Release Debut Full-Length Album

HOT SHÖT has officially completed work on their self-titled debut album, which is slated for release via Kenyon Records. The project serves as a new chapter for a lineup boasting heavy-hitting pedigree, featuring Jason McMaster on vocals, Dave McClain on drums, Paul Lidel on guitar, Jack Pyers on bass, and Dave Beeson on guitar.

The band's formation is deeply rooted in the legacy of DIRTY LOOKS. McMaster, a veteran of DANGEROUS TOYS and WATCHTOWER, joined forces with Lidel and Pyers to perform the 1988 classic "Cool From The Wire" at Selinsgrove Speedway. That performance was captured in the "Cool From The Speedway" package. When the group began writing original material, the decision was made to form HOT SHÖT to distinguish their new direction from the original DIRTY LOOKS moniker.

McMaster, a staple of the Texas metal scene and a multi-gold record holder, has been busy with various projects including BROKEN TEETH and IGNITOR. The band previously teased their new direction with the two-track EP "We'll Be Right Back" in May 2025. With the debut album now finished and artwork ready, the band aims to capture the spirit of their influences while forging a path forward. Fans of the high-octane DIRTY LOOKS sound can expect a similar intensity from the upcoming HOT SHÖT release.
