Greek Power Metalers Firewind Tap Into Mythology for New Concept Album

Greek power metal outfit FIREWIND have announced their forthcoming studio album, "Gods, Myths & Titans", scheduled for release on February 19, 2027. Released under the BLKIIBLK imprint of Frontiers Label Group, the record marks a major milestone as the band's first signing to the label's dedicated heavy metal arm.

To kick off the cycle, the band has released the first single, "The Legend Of Achilles", accompanied by a lyric video. Guitarist and mastermind Gus G explains that the project has been two years in the making, designed to be the most epic offering in the band's history. By weaving cinematic and orchestral elements into their traditional metal sound, the group aims to heighten the overall scale of the production.

Our goal was to create the most epic album in the history of the band.

"Gods, Myths & Titans" serves as a cohesive concept journey through the world of Greek legends. According to Gus G, each track acts as a "gate" to a different myth, supported by bespoke artwork for every song created by Felipe Machado. The record also marks a significant personnel homecoming, featuring the return of vocalist Henning Basse, whose distinct presence is set to bolster the band's signature sound.

Following a heavy European festival run, FIREWIND is currently preparing for a tour across the US and Canada in support of ENSIFERUM, alongside a planned appearance at the ProgPower festival.
