Cheap Trick Announce New Album ‘All Washed Up’

Cheap Trick will release a new studio album titled “All Washed Up” on November 14 through BMG. The record follows 2021’s “In Another World” and is introduced by first single “Twelve Gates”.

Vocalist Robin Zander describes the album simply as a recognisable Cheap Trick record, containing the mixture of polished hooks, rough edges and irreverence that has defined the band’s catalogue. The 11-song sequence opens with the title track and also includes “All Wrong Long Gone”, “The Riff That Won’t Quit”, “Bet It All”, “Bad Blood”, “Dancing With The Band” and closing track “Wham Boom Bang”.

First single ‘Twelve Gates’ introduces an 11-song record that Robin Zander says unmistakably sounds like Cheap Trick.

Cheap Trick formed in Illinois in 1974 and developed an enduring combination of power pop, hard rock and theatrical stage presentation. Songs including “Surrender”, “I Want You To Want Me”, “Dream Police” and “The Flame” helped the band sell more than 20 million records and earn induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2016.

The current lineup retains original members Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen and bassist Tom Petersson. Daxx Nielsen has handled drums since Bun E. Carlos stopped touring in 2010, while Robin Taylor Zander contributes rhythm guitar and vocals in the live band. “All Washed Up” will be Cheap Trick’s twenty-first studio album.
