Tom Morello, the architect of some of rock's most incendiary guitar sounds, has announced his forthcoming solo album, *Everyone Gets Everything They Want*, set for release via Mom + Pop Music on September 25. The record sees him continuing his tradition of blending blistering riffs with pointed social commentary, tackling themes of fascism and immigrant rights – a soundtrack to the times, if you will.

The new material isn't a solitary effort; Morello has enlisted a diverse cast of collaborators including Serj Tankian, KNEECAP, and BEARTOOTH. Notably, his fifteen-year-old son Roman contributes writing credits and guitar work on five tracks, proving himself to be quite the prodigy with some serious riffs.

'Date Night' is really a 'which side are you on?' song.

The first taste of this politically charged sonic landscape arrives in the form of "Date Night," a track that tells the harrowing true story of three young Dutch women who acted as spies and assassins against Nazi forces during World War II. The song is a stark reminder of moral choices, delivered with Morello's signature guitar theatrics.

Morello himself describes the new material as being for "anti-racists, anti-fascists, and anti-Nazis," adding that "if any of that offends you, do the math." A provocative statement, certainly, but one consistent with his long history of activism. The album follows previous releases including "Adjourn It", which also features Serj Tankian and Roman Morello.

Beyond the new album, Morello remains a force in music and activism, having recently wrapped up touring with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and appearing at Newport Folk Festival. He's also curating the Power To The People festival in Columbia, Maryland on October 3, featuring an impressive lineup of artists including Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, and Joan Baez – a testament to his continued influence.
