Kamelot Announce 'Dark Asylum' European Tour Part II

Symphonic metal stalwarts KAMELOT have confirmed they will be hitting the road for the second leg of their European 'Dark Asylum' tour in March 2027. The band will be touring in support of their latest offering from Napalm Records, with melodic heavyweights CYHRA joining the bill as direct support. Tickets for the sprawling dates across Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the Czech Republic are scheduled to go on sale on Friday, September 25.

Guitarist Thomas Youngblood recently reflected on the band's enduring touring spirit in a sit-down with The CMS Metal Show. While acknowledging the mounting costs and complexities of modern touring, Youngblood insisted that the band prioritises quality of experience over sheer quantity. They have managed to strike a balance that keeps the members energised and satisfied with the road, ensuring that when they take the stage, they are fully present for the fans.

It's all about the full experience. So, from that aspect, we've been really good at kind of being able to balance all those things.

Youngblood also touched upon the current climate of ticket sales and the challenges faced by modern touring acts. He noted that despite the 'blue dot fever' and a crowded touring circuit, KAMELOT remains a reliable booking. The band hasn't cancelled a tour in over 15 years, and Youngblood maintains that the pre-sales for their upcoming North American dates have been exceptional. The 'Dark Asylum' LP, which saw the return of producer Sascha Paeth and mixing by Jacob Hansen, remains a cornerstone of their current live set.
