Crownshift Set New Album Date with 'In The Dead Of Night' Lead Single
Finnish modern metal outfit CROWNSHIFT announce their second studio album, 'The Shadows We Buried', arriving in early 2027.
Finnish modern metal quartet CROWNSHIFT have announced the arrival of their second studio album, "The Shadows We Buried", scheduled for release on 29 January 2027 via Nuclear Blast. To mark the occasion, the band has premiered a new single, "In The Dead Of Night", which comes packaged with an official music video.
Since the critical success of their self-titled debut, CROWNSHIFT have transitioned from a collaborative project into a powerhouse in their own right. The lineup features veterans from the likes of NIGHTWISH, CHILDREN OF BODOM, WINTERSUN, and FINNTROLL. While the group recently saw the departure of bassist Jukka Koskinen, he has been replaced by Kevin Apostol of ATLAS and ASSEMBLE THE CHARIOTS.
The forthcoming record represents a natural yet daring evolution of the band's signature sound.
"The Shadows We Buried" is expected to build on the band's reputation for blending melodic death metal with progressive flourishes and cinematic textures. The new material follows an intense touring cycle that saw the group share stages with DIRKSCHNEIDER and perform on the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise. The tracklist for the upcoming release includes "The Portal", "I Will Give You War", and "Behold The Crown", among others. The lead single provides a glimpse of the band's focused intensity, blending relentless rhythmic drive with expansive, soaring atmospheres.
