Sweden's symphonic power metal heavyweights, Dragonland, have officially fired the starting pistol on their next era with the release of "Survival Of Mankind". The track serves as the lead single for their upcoming album, "Prophecies", which is set to land on October 23 via Scarlet Records.

Crafted in collaboration with the legendary Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman, the new material promises a relentless assault of soaring melodies and high-speed riffing. The band has aimed for a sprawling sonic landscape that balances their signature epic fantasy tropes with blistering power metal anthems and more intimate, gripping ballads.

While the album marks a fresh chapter, it also serves as a bittersweet farewell to long-time guitarist Olof Mörck. Though his departure was amicable due to his commitments with Amaranthe, he leaves behind a final parting gift: a special track written by him and Elias Holmlid that has finally been unearthed from the archives.
