Buckcherry's Stevie D. Breaks Silence on Deadly South Carolina Tour Bus Collision

Buckcherry guitarist Stevie D. has spoken out regarding the harrowing multi-vehicle accident involving the band's tour bus on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County. In a recent interview with Laughing Monkey With Shawn Ratches, Dacanay provided a firsthand account of the chaos that unfolded on the night of 21 August.

According to Dacanay, the incident occurred as the band was travelling from a show in South Carolina. He described a scene where a drunk driver, who had pulled over and exited his vehicle, was struck by a car, causing a door to fly into oncoming traffic and trigger a massive pile-up. "Our bus was not drivable after that," Dacanay noted, citing a mess of gas, diesel, and fluids across the highway. While the band confirmed all members and crew were safe, the incident resulted in a fatality.

Speaking on the media coverage, Dacanay expressed frustration with the sensationalist reporting that suggested the band's involvement was more significant than it was. He noted that some outlets used misleading footage and headlines to garner clicks. Despite the turmoil, the band continues to tour in support of their latest release, "Roar Like Thunder".
