NORTHLANE are preparing to release their seventh studio album, "Anemoia", on October 30. Vocalist Marcus Bridge revealed in a recent interview that the band spent over two years meticulously crafting the material, aiming to balance their signature heavy sound with an intensified electronic aesthetic.

Following the release of the 'Mirror's Edge' EP, the band entered a period of fine-tuning to ensure the new tracks remained authentic to their identity while pushing boundaries. Bridge noted that they specifically wanted to capture the nostalgic electronic vibes of the late 90s and early 2000s, a direction that required significant patience to perfect. The album features production from Jordan Fish, who collaborated with the band in Australia to refine melodies and tighten the arrangements.

We definitely wanted to go pretty ham with it and once again just try and capture that kind of nostalgic electronic music feel.

"Anemoia" explores themes of nostalgia for places never known, blending elements of trance, drum-and-bass, and jungle into their heavy metal framework. The tracklist includes ten songs, including a collaboration with DAYSEEKER on the title track. This latest effort follows their 2022 chart-topping album "Obsidian" and marks another chapter in the band's decade-long evolution of electronic-infused heavy music.
