KING 810 Reveal New Single 'I Know You Heard Of Me' Ahead of 'La Grande Mort Or Silence Of God'
Flint, Michigan heavyweights KING 810 debut the first single from their upcoming spiritual successor to their 2016 hit.
Flint, Michigan heavy music outliers KING 810 have debuted the new single "I Know You Heard Of Me", the opening statement for their upcoming full-length album, "La Grande Mort Or Silence Of God". Scheduled for release on November 27, the new record marks the band's fourth full-length of original material in just 18 months.
Positioned as the spiritual successor to their 2016 critically acclaimed sophomore effort, "La Grande Mort" serves as a violent evolution of the themes of despair and desensitization first explored a decade ago. Produced alongside longtime collaborator Josh Schroeder, the new eight-track collection re-examines those same haunting landscapes through a "now rusted lens".
The little death was only a rehearsal for the big death.
Opening the record with "I Know You Heard Of Me" was a deliberate choice. The track functions as a suspense-filled shape-shifter, morphing from an ominous lullaby into an explosive symphony. Vocalist David Gunn describes the single as a transmission concerning the fact that humanity has been trying to warn one another about the fractures in reality for thousands of years.
While the 2016 work explored "the little death", Gunn notes that the current cycle explores "the silence of God". The band asserts that the previous era was merely a rehearsal for this current, more visceral chapter. "La Grande Mort Or Silence Of God" will be available across all major streaming platforms and on various physical formats.
