Bloodstock Veteran Journalist Dom Lawson Faces Recovery Following Heart Attack

A fundraising campaign has been launched for veteran British metal journalist Dom Lawson following a serious medical scare over the weekend. Lawson, a staple of the UK heavy scene who contributes to outlets such as BLABBERMOUTH.NET and Metal Hammer, suffered a heart attack during the Bloodstock Open Air festival.

Lawson was rushed to hospital and is currently awaiting surgery. Because he is "forced to do lots of resting and recuperating for weeks, if not months," the journalist is unable to take on freelance work while he recovers. A GoFundMe page set up by friend Alex aims to raise £6,600 (approximately $8,900) to assist him during this period.
