Skindred Drop Music Video For Mental Health Anthem 'Big Em Up'

SKINDRED have officially premiered the music video for "Big Em Up", the latest single culled from their recent Number 1 hit album, "You Got This". The track serves as a stark, direct call to action regarding mental health, aiming to support those battling anxiety and depression while encouraging fans to check in on their peers.

Frontman Benji Webbe highlights the ease with which life can become overwhelming, citing everything from daily pressures to the toxicity of social media. "'Big Em Up' is a simple message for everyone to check on their friends and to pick 'em up and to try and encourage some positivity back into the world," Webbe explains, urging listeners to share that sentiment beyond the music.

It's a message me and my brothers in SKINDRED try and share in the music we play.

The band is currently preparing for their biggest UK and Ireland tour dates, beginning at Nottingham's Rock City on October 23. This run includes a special Halloween party at London's Alexandra Palace on October 31, supported by Alien Ant Farm and Spineshank. Notably, £1 from every ticket sold for the Alexandra Palace show will be donated to the charity Metal For Good to support mental health initiatives.

Following the success of 2023's "Smile" — which reached Number 2 on the UK official album chart — the band's latest offering from producer Jay Ruston has already garnered industry recognition, earning a nomination for the Welsh Music Prize last month.
