Six Feet Under Cancel ‘Midnight In Hell’ Tour

Six Feet Under have cancelled the “Midnight In Hell” tour with Exhorder, Wretched and Incite because of unspecified unforeseen circumstances. The United States run had been scheduled to begin in Indianapolis on September 20 and conclude in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, on October 25.

The band say they will attempt to move the dates into 2026. Tickets can be refunded through the original point of purchase. No further explanation for the cancellation has been issued.

The cancellation comes as the death metal veterans continue recording the follow-up to ‘Killing For Revenge’.

Six Feet Under are simultaneously working on a new studio album, tentatively expected in late spring or early summer 2026 through Metal Blade Records. Guitarist Jack Owen recorded rhythm parts at AudioHammer with producer Jason Suecof, while bassist Jeff Hughell and lead guitarist Ray Suhy were completing their contributions. Vocalist Chris Barnes had planned to record at Criteria Studios in Miami after the now-cancelled tour.

Barnes describes the material as a broad survey of the band’s established sound, combining slow groove-driven passages with more direct and brutal death metal. The record will follow 2024’s “Killing For Revenge”, the second Six Feet Under album created after Barnes reunited creatively with former Cannibal Corpse guitarist Owen. The current lineup also includes drummer Marco Pitruzzella. A revised touring schedule and final album details are expected after the recording process is complete.
