Primal Fear Announce 'Shadow Riders' For April 2027
Bassist and producer Mat Sinner confirms the upcoming title and release date for the German power metal veterans.
Primal Fear have confirmed that their next full-length studio effort, titled "Shadow Riders", is set for a release in April 2027. Speaking with George Dionne of KNAC.COM, bassist and producer Mat Sinner revealed the name while noting that a track of the same name features on the record. Sinner is eager to begin building the buzz for the upcoming release, which will be preceded by two singles and accompanying videos starting as early as January.
Sinner also took a moment to reflect on the success of the band's most recent outing, "Domination". Released last September via Reigning Phoenix Music, the record defied modern trends by outselling its predecessor. While some in the industry lament the decline of physical media, Sinner remains defiant. He insists that the band does not create music for the "iPhone" generation or casual streamers, but rather for fans who demand a high-quality, "proper system" to experience the music properly.
The album is called 'Shadow Riders'. Dark. Yeah, it's also a track on the album.
The veterans of the scene have maintained a relentless pace for nearly three decades. With the return of guitarist Magnus Karlsson and the addition of Thalìa Bellazecca and André Hilgers, the quintet continues to evolve their sound. Following the high chart positions achieved by "Code Red" in 2023, the band remains committed to their high-octane songwriting, ensuring that every release remains a distinct chapter in their enduring career.
