Primal Fear Announce 'Shadowriders' Release Date and Lead Single
Power metal heavyweights Primal Fear have confirmed April 2027 as the drop date for their upcoming album 'Shadowriders'.
Power metal veterans Primal Fear have confirmed that their next full-length effort, "Shadowriders", will be released on 23 April 2027 via Reigning Phoenix Music. To kick things off, the band will drop the debut single and accompanying music video, "Vengeance Now", in time for the Christmas season.
Bassist and producer Mat Sinner remains defiant against the tide of modern streaming trends. Speaking to George Dionne of KNAC.COM, Sinner noted that their previous release, "Domination", actually outsold its predecessor—a feat he claims is increasingly rare in the current landscape. Sinner emphasised that the band prioritises listeners who actually sit down to listen to the music, rather than those scrolling through playlists. "These albums are not made for an iPhone," Sinner stated, insisting the music is crafted for systems where the listener can truly appreciate the production.
These albums are not made for an iPhone. They are made for proper systems that you can really enjoy the music.
Following the high expectations set by the chart-topping "Code Red" in 2023, the veteran quintet continues to push their sonic boundaries. The current lineup features the powerhouse songwriting trio of Sinner, Ralf Scheepers, and Magnus Karlsson, supported by guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and drummer André Hilgers. Having stayed true to their craft for nearly three decades, the band continues to prove their longevity with consistent, high-quality output.
