Instrumental rock innovators POLYPHIA have announced their fifth full-length studio album, "Be Not Afraid", set for release on October 23 via Rise Records. The band has already shared the music video for the lead single, "Power In The Blood", which features a striking visual set against the gold-leaf Baroque backdrops of the São Francisco da Penitência Church in Rio de Janeiro.

Crafted alongside co-producer RJ Pasin and guest guitarist Spiro Dussias, the record marks a shift toward a more communal creative process. Guitarist Tim Henson moved away from his usual methods, opting to sing lines aloud before translating them to the fretboard, allowing the band to build on each other's ideas in real-time. This collaborative spirit resulted in a dense, multi-layered production that Henson describes as their most meaningful work to date.

Instead of going wide on 'Be Not Afraid', we went as deep as we could.

Musically, the album weaves together metal, future-facing prog, and house music, exploring the polarity between triumphant and terrifying atmospheres. Henson notes that the record serves as a defiant response to the "ugliness of the world," choosing to create something beautiful rather than succumbing to paralysis. To ensure the album met their standards, the band pushed back their North American tour dates to early 2027, while European dates remain unchanged for late 2026.
