Pantera Set to Headline The Great Nola Trendkill Festival
Pantera will perform their first New Orleans show in 30 years as part of a massive two-day festival at Lakefront Arena.
Pantera are set to headline a massive two-day takeover of New Orleans known as The Great Nola Trendkill. Scheduled for 20 and 21 November at the Lakefront Arena, the event marks a significant milestone as it will be the band's first appearance in the city in three decades. The booking also serves as a nod to the 30th anniversary of their 1996 release, "The Great Southern Trendkill".
The festival, presented by Housecore Horror, Housecore Records, and Live Nation, boasts a heavy-hitting lineup. Alongside Pantera, the bill features Down, who will perform their "Volume V" record release show, as well as Black Label Society, Corrosion of Conformity, Power Trip, Crowbar, Eyehategod, RÃde, Herakleion, and Pig Destroyer. Fans can also expect the return of the Housecore Horror Festival, featuring a curation of cinema and mayhem curated by vocalist Philip H. Anselmo.
To be back in New Orleans with such a package of bands and events is a dream come true.
Anselmo described the reunion of his hometown and the inclusion of such a variety of bands as a "dream come true". Beyond the headline acts, the festival will feature various vendors and special appearances across several venues in the city. Tickets for the arena shows go on general sale on 11 September, with an initial presale and VIP packages offering hotel stays and exclusive merchandise available through selected platforms.
