P.O.D. Reveal New Material Produced by Grammy-Winner Will Yip

P.O.D. have confirmed the completion of their latest studio album, a follow-up to 2024's "Veritas". The band ventured outside of California to record in the Whitman section of South Philadelphia with producer and engineer Will Yip at his Memory Music Studios.

Producer Will Yip, whose pedigree includes work with Turnstile and diverse projects across punk and hardcore, collaborated with the band in a session that vocalist Sonny Sandoval describes as an efficient whirlwind. "We only had two weeks. And we didn't even think we'd finish the record. We just wanted to get started, but we were so prepared, and Will is such a genius, we finished the whole record," Sandoval explained. The result is a 13-track collection that Sandoval claims is "heavy, but also it's extremely beautiful," featuring vocal performances and seven-string guitar arrangements that pushed the band's boundaries.

I would dare to say it could be the best album that we've ever written.

Guitarist Marcos Curiel describes the new record as a "growth" and an extension of the themes found on "Veritas". While the band remains rooted in their California roots—blending punk, metal, and reggae—the new material is intended to be thought-provoking rather than surface-level. Curiel noted that while they appreciate their "timeless" hits, the primary goal remains the creation of new music that "rocks."
