Nightwish frontwoman Floor Jansen has entered a more aggressive chapter of her solo career with the release of her new single, "Bring Me Silence". The track serves as the official announcement for her upcoming studio album, "Hytress", scheduled to drop on January 15, 2027, via REVAMP Music/Warner Music.

Moving away from the sentimentality of her debut record, "Hytress" is described as a sharper, more direct evolution of her craft. The new 12-track LP features down-tuned guitars and layered vocals to showcase the raw intensity of her metal roots while maintaining the emotional depth found in her previous songwriting. Jansen notes that "Bring Me Silence" represents a search for mental clarity amidst a demanding world, blending the power of metal with the vulnerability she has explored in her solo work.

Metal has always been an important part of who I am. Its power, directness, and intensity are deeply rooted in me as an artist.

To support the release, a comprehensive "Hytress" tour 2027 has been confirmed, taking her and a full live band across club stages in Europe and South America. The tour aims to capture the full spectrum of her identity, transitioning from the intensity of festivals to the intimacy of theatre settings.

While her career has continued to flourish since 2023, where she shared personal milestones including becoming cancer-free and welcoming her second child, her solo trajectory remains firmly on a path of growth. The upcoming record will feature tracks such as "Reverse Polarity" and "Cathedral Of One", marking a significant step forward for the vocalist.
