Dave Mustaine has confirmed a three-city book tour to coincide with the release of his memoir, "In My Darkest Hour". Published by Da Capo and Hachette Book Group, the book provides a raw look into Mustaine's fight against cancer and his determination to preserve his voice and career during his illness.

The tour kicks off on September 8, 2026, in New York City at the Kaufman Music Center, where the event will be moderated by Rolling Stone's Kory Grow. Fans attending the New York date will receive a signed copy of the book. Mustaine will follow with appearances in Boston on September 9 and Manassas, Virginia, on September 10. These dates provide a rare opportunity for fans to connect with the Megadeth frontman in person during his current farewell tour cycle.

The memoir takes readers from the treatment room to the studio as Mustaine chronicles how his diagnosis inspired him to take up the pen.

"In My Darkest Hour" details the period between Mustaine's diagnosis and the recording of Megadeth's sixteenth studio album, "The Sick, The Dying…And The Dead!". The narrative explores how his health struggles influenced his perspective on family, faith, and the vulnerability of his art. The memoir arrives at a peak moment for the band; their self-titled final studio album recently debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, marking the highest debut of their 40-year career. The book serves as a personal chronicle of a man who refused to let his circumstances silence his music.
