Stryfe Join Candlepower Records for Upcoming 'Breathe' Release

Southern California progressive metal outfit STRYFE are set to make their debut on Candlepower Records with the release of their new single, "Breathe", dropping on August 22. The move follows a distribution agreement between Candlepower and ElectraCast Media to represent the Los Angeles-based group.

Candlepower first caught the band's attention during a high-energy set at The Viper Room in West Hollywood. Label co-founder Diego Negrete was so struck by the performance that he envisioned the group performing at the much larger Forum venue. The band has built a reputation for a dynamic blend of heavy rock and progressive metal, featuring intricate arrangements and emotive vocals.

STRYFE delivers music that is as technically compelling as it is emotionally resonant.

Drawing from a diverse palette of influences including Armenian classical and folk traditions, STRYFE offers a sonic tapestry that fans of Tool, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, The Butterfly Effect, and Karnivool will find familiar. The band is now officially part of the Candlepower roster, a label run by industry veterans Diego Negrete and Bill Metoyer, the former Vice President of Metal Blade Records.
