Hatebreed have signed with BLKIIBLK, the heavy metal imprint operated by Frontiers Label Group. The label will release the Connecticut band’s ninth studio album in autumn 2026, following 2020’s “Weight Of The False Self”.

The record was produced by longtime collaborator Chris “Zeuss” Harris, who previously worked with Hatebreed on several defining releases. Frontman Jamey Jasta said the group had found a team capable of supporting its next phase, describing the sessions as unusually energetic and collaborative. The band has also identified “Decisions Become Destinies” as one of the new songs.

The Connecticut veterans describe the record as a back-to-basics collection built around speed, groove and blunt-force heaviness.

Jasta has characterised the album as Hatebreed’s most stripped-down and aggressively direct work, with little interest in melody and a deliberate return to the band’s core strengths. Drummer Matt Byrne has separately described the material as faster, more metallic and more thrash-oriented, while retaining the breakdowns and groove associated with the group.

The current lineup features Jasta, guitarists Wayne Lozinak and Frank Novinec, drummer Byrne and bassist Carl Schwartz. Hatebreed will remain active throughout 2026 with European festival appearances and two North American legs of the revived Summer Slaughter tour. The new album follows the 2025 single “Make The Demons Obey”, the band’s first fresh material in nearly five years and an early indication of the more severe direction now being pursued.
