Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares has shared insights into the band's evolving sound, confirming that their upcoming album maintains their core identity while incorporating diverse new elements. Following the late-August release of "Roboticist" via Nuclear Blast, Cazares spoke with GRIMM Gent regarding the track's development. The single marks the first official release featuring vocalist Milo Silvestro and drummer Pete Webber, both of whom have been part of the touring lineup for over three years.

Cazares noted that "Roboticist" began as an instrumental piece designed to showcase various tones for a plugin. Upon adding Silvestro's vocals, the track was refined for its current form. While some fans have commented on how closely the new material mirrors the classic Fear Factory sound, Cazares remained indifferent to the comparison, noting that the band's signature style is his own. He confirmed that while the new material explores different directions, the core "formula" remains intact.

It's still our formula, yes, but there's just new, different elements that add to it.

The band's lyrical focus continues to explore the relationship between man and machine. Cazares touched upon the omnipresence of artificial intelligence in modern life, noting that these themes have been central to the band since their debut. "Roboticist" was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Damien Rainaud and was accompanied by a cinematic video directed by Vincente Cordero. The track coincided with the "Cybernetic Domination" European tour, which concluded in London in October.
