Darkest HOUR Drop 'Warrior' Ahead of Suffer Divine

Washington, D.C. metalcore pioneers DARKEST HOUR have unleashed their latest single and accompanying music video, "Warrior". Serving as the second offering from the upcoming album "Suffer Divine", the track is scheduled for release on October 30.

Guitarist Mike Schleibaum describes the track as a showcase of the band's melodic death metal tendencies infused with a modern twist. He highlights the technicality of the piece, praising the progressive guitar work, intricate drumming, and the "devastating low end" provided by the production. Schleibaum notes that the album as a whole is defined by a sense of "furious with focused intent."

This song showcases our melodic death metal tendencies with a bit of a modern twist.

Vocals on the track are handled by John Henry, who explains that the lyrics are aimed at the "intrapersonal warrior." The song explores the internal struggle of gaining control over one's thoughts and actions. The visual component of the release was directed by Thomas Mignone for DOOM Inc., with Schleibaum noting that the aesthetic draws inspiration from the film "Raging Bull" and the music video "Mama Said Knock You Out."

Following the album's release, the band will embark on a headlining US tour with JUDICIARY as direct support. These dates are set to begin on December 1 in Austin, Texas, immediately following a run of shows with FEAR FACTORY.
