Cryptopsy to Headline 2026 Decibel Tour
Cryptopsy will lead the 2026 Decibel Magazine Tour with Necrot, Fulci and Blood Monolith.
Cryptopsy will headline the 2026 Decibel Magazine Tour with support from Necrot, Fulci and Blood Monolith. The 21-date North American run begins in Worcester on April 30 and ends in Montreal on May 28.
The Canadian technical death metal band will use the tour to support 2025 album “An Insatiable Violence” while marking the 30th anniversary of “None So Vile”. Vocalist Matt McGachy says the set will combine selected songs from the 1996 record with newer material, presenting the group’s current form alongside one of its most influential releases.
The set will connect ‘An Insatiable Violence’ with the 30th anniversary of death metal landmark ‘None So Vile’.
The itinerary includes Brooklyn, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, San Diego, Berkeley, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Toronto. The Philadelphia stop forms part of Decibel Metal & Beer Fest.
“An Insatiable Violence” was released through Season Of Mist and followed 2023’s “As Gomorrah Burns”. The latter earned Cryptopsy their first Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album Of The Year in 2024, three decades after the band’s formation. Cryptopsy have stated that they now intend to maintain a more regular recording schedule. The tour’s support package links established underground groups Necrot and Fulci with newer death-grind project Blood Monolith, making the run a focused survey of contemporary North American and European death metal.
