Australian melodic metal stalwarts VANISHING POINT have continued their steady march toward their upcoming seventh studio album, 'Eremition', by dropping the new single 'Sirens'. The track follows closely on the heels of last month's 'Bring Me The Night', marking the band's first output in six years.

Guitarist Chris Porcianko explains that 'Sirens' serves as a thematic successor to 'Dead Elysium', delving into the spiritual and ethical decay of the modern age. Porcianko describes the track as a commentary on how humanity remains tethered to technology while their moral compass deteriorates. "We are all somewhat oblivious to our own decline with many things, whether it be physical, spiritual, or ethical," Porcianko notes regarding the impact of information overload and shortened attention spans.

Lyrically, it's about the downfall of humanity, wherein we are very much alive with technology, yet at the same time our morality lies dormant.

'Eremition' is scheduled for a global release on November 20. For a band with a three-decade legacy, the deliberate pace of their output is a matter of principle. Porcianko insists the band prioritises "quality over quantity," choosing to release material only when it aligns with their established aesthetic of heavy, melodic metal.

Since their 1997 debut, the Melbourne-based outfit has cultivated a cinematic atmosphere that has earned them stages alongside the likes of IRON MAIDEN and NIGHTWISH. This latest chapter, which Porcianko describes as an exploration of loss and moving forward, aims to provide solace and connection for their global fanbase.
