Voltage Funeral is a fictional record used to demonstrate the review format. The imaginary Grave Circuit play speed metal with the aerodynamic shine of classic heavy metal and the ugly forward momentum of early thrash.

The strongest idea is restraint. Songs are short, choruses arrive fast and solos leave before the flash turns into self-indulgence. It feels deliberately built for repeat plays rather than endurance.

There is enough grit in the production to keep the record dangerous. Drums hit hard without becoming a shapeless wall, while the guitars retain the serrated edge that gives the riffs their momentum.

A couple of mid-album tracks follow the blueprint too faithfully, but the closing stretch restores the sense that something might fly apart. Fictional though it is, this is the model for a concise, opinionated album review.
